Integrations
Connect ChatGPT and Codex
Use MailMoose as a tool from a compatible ChatGPT account.
MailMoose provides a hosted OAuth MCP server at https://www.mailmoose.dev/api/mcp.
Connect Codex CLI
Run these commands in your terminal, then approve the MailMoose organization and permissions in your browser:
codex mcp add mailmoose --url https://www.mailmoose.dev/api/mcp
codex mcp login mailmoose
Connect from the client
If your ChatGPT account or workspace exposes a custom MCP connection flow, add that server URL there, then sign in to MailMoose and approve the requested organization and permissions. Screen names, availability and administrator restrictions depend on the client; MailMoose cannot enable a missing ChatGPT feature.
Do not paste a MailMoose API key into a normal chat message. Hosted OAuth does not require sharing that key with the conversation.
If your client cannot connect, use another compatible MCP client or Claude Code.
Test safely
Start with a read request: “Show my latest unread email.” Your agent can access all inboxes in the connected organization. Only enable sending if needed, and review recipients and content before approving it.
Paid access, sender readiness and sending limits still apply. API/agent sends do not have the web composer’s undo window.
Disconnect
Remove or disconnect the MailMoose connection in the client’s connection settings. For an API-key integration, revoke that key in Settings → API keys. MailMoose’s connected-agent list is not an OAuth-revocation control.
Where does the chat run?
This conversation runs in your AI client, not inside MailMoose. MCP exposes MailMoose tools; it does not authorize MailMoose to make model requests against your ChatGPT account. MailMoose Assistant is the connection hub, not an embedded chat.
