Email addresses
Create an email address
Add an inbox on your connected domain.
The free plan includes two inboxes and the paid plan includes unlimited inboxes. Upgrade in Settings → Billing.
Add an inbox
- As an owner or admin, open Domains and expand the domain’s addresses.
- Enter the part before @, such as hello, and select Add address.
- New-domain setup also offers inbox creation as its first step. Registered domains can prepare inboxes before DNS verification; this does not activate sending or receiving.
Incoming mail needs receiving readiness and MX routing. Outgoing mail also needs sending readiness, a paid subscription and available quota.
Every organization member gets access automatically, including to inboxes added later.
Display name and signature
Use the address’s edit control to set a display name and signature. Format your signature with bold, italic, underline, headings, lists and links using the toolbar, then choose Save. The name appears beside your sender address; the formatted signature is inserted into new messages and replies and can be edited before sending. Switching senders replaces the current signature, including any edits to it, without stacking signatures. A plain-text version is kept for email clients that do not display formatting.
Valid names
Use letters, numbers, dots, underscores, plus signs or hyphens, without spaces. Names must be unique within a domain.
Reserved names include postmaster, abuse, mailer-daemon, noreply and no-reply.
Delete an inbox
Review the delete confirmation. Deletion is irreversible and can remove its conversations. Future mail cannot reach that deleted inbox.
Deleting an inbox does not change the subscription price; see Billing. On the free plan it makes room for another inbox.
