Using your inbox
Read and reply
Choose a sender and write formatted replies.
Spam and blocked senders
Use Spam in the sidebar to see unwanted conversations across all accessible domains, or only the selected domain or inbox when one is selected. From a conversation’s options (⋯), choose Move to Spam or Not spam · move to inbox. You can also select several conversations and move them together.
Block sender additionally routes future mail from that sender to Spam for that inbox. It does not affect your other inboxes. Spam stays stored, does not count toward inbox unread badges and is not forwarded. Manage blocks in Settings → Blocked.
Find a conversation
Click a domain in the sidebar to open its combined inbox and reveal its email addresses underneath. Select an address to see only that inbox; use the chevron to expand or collapse addresses independently. Search and filters narrow the list by unread status, attachments or archive state.
Open a thread to read it. Newest messages appear at the top, followed by older messages. Opening marks it read; use the unread control for follow-up.
Unread conversations have a green tint, bold text and a green dot. These clear when you open the conversation. Sidebar domains and addresses with unread mail also have a green tint and count badge. The inbox badge remains visible in collapsed navigation; its gentle eight-second nudge respects reduced-motion settings.
On desktop, drag the divider between the message list and reading pane to resize them. MailMoose remembers your width in this browser, including in Sent. You can also focus the divider and use the left/right arrow keys; double-click to reset. On mobile, messages and conversations stay in separate full-width views.
The settings icon beside Compose opens mailbox status and available name, signature and forwarding controls. A Setup indicator appears when sending or receiving needs attention; verified status details stay out of the way until opened.
Write an email
Use Compose for new mail or the editor inside a thread for replies. Choose another sending-ready mailbox you can access from the sender control.
Add multiple recipients with Enter, Tab, commas or semicolons. Cc / Bcc is available for both new messages and replies; Reply all adds the conversation’s suggested Cc recipients.
Use the toolbar for bold, italic, underline, lists and links. Drafts and formatting explains saving and resuming work.
Review sender, recipients and content before sending. Web-composer sends have a 10-second undo window. API and agent sends do not.
Archive and unread
Archive removes a thread from the active inbox, not storage. Use the archived filter to find and restore it. Mark unread when it needs attention.
Safe viewing
Received email links open in a new tab. HTTPS images load automatically, and the email keeps its original design widths. Scripts and forms remain blocked in the isolated email viewer. Remote images can reveal your IP address and that you opened the email; MailMoose does not send the inbox URL to image hosts.
Authentication is a signal, not proof that a request is trustworthy. See email authentication.
