Questions we get asked
Do I need to own a domain?
Yes. You connect a domain you already own and add a few DNS records at your registrar. Setup takes about fifteen minutes, most of it spent waiting for DNS to update.
Will this break the email I get today?
Not until you decide. The DKIM and SPF records are safe to add at any time and change nothing about the mail you currently receive. Your MX record is the switch, and you change it last, once your new address exists.
Is there a free plan, and what does MailMoose cost?
Every account starts on the free plan: 50 sends and 250 received emails a month, on 1 domain with 2 inboxes. No card needed. The paid plan is $9/month or $90/year (2 months free), plus VAT, for unlimited domains and inboxes, 5 GB storage, 5,000 received emails and 500 sending recipients each billing month. The first 20 subscribers pay the founder price, $5/month or $50/year, for as long as they stay subscribed. Extra usage is prepaid: $0.003 per sending recipient and $0.0005 per received email. Fair-use and anti-abuse safeguards apply.
Which assistants can reach my mail?
Supported AI clients connect to MailMoose through MCP and a MailMoose sign-in. You do not share your AI-provider API key or subscription credentials with MailMoose. If your client cannot use OAuth, a dedicated MailMoose API key is an alternative. Start read-only and add sending only when needed.
Can I use it for newsletters or app email?
Yes for app email: use the API or a connected agent for welcome emails, receipts and other transactional messages, alongside your business conversations. MailMoose is not a newsletter campaign builder: audience management, marketing sequences and unsubscribe tooling are not included.
